The Regional Sales Manager Liabilities at MCB holds a critical role in driving the growth of the bank's liability portfolio by delivering strategic direction, product expertise, and functional leadership to a circle-based team composed of Senior Relationship Managers, Relationship Managers, and Associates. This role demands a strong focus on optimizing deposit mobilization strategies to meet and exceed organizational growth targets, specifically in current deposit accounts. The manager supervises compliance with high regulatory and operational standards including Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Fair Treatment of Customers (FTC) regulations ensuring that all team activities adhere to these essential guidelines.
In addition to managing a team of five professionals, the Regional Sales Manager actively collaborates with Regional Heads and General Managers to monitor key performance indicators and sales funnels, identify performance shortfalls, and implement corrective strategies. The role also serves as a bridge between the Retail Banking Group and regional management to facilitate seamless customer onboarding and resolve operational constraints. In this capacity, the manager is responsible for talent management activities such as building a robust candidate talent pool, optimizing staffing, and ensuring smooth onboarding processes for new hires, contributing to the long-term sustainability and leadership succession planning of the sales function.
Responsibilities
Provide tactical guidance and develop Go-to-Market plans for the regional sales team to achieve CASA and deposit growth targets.
Mentor and support Senior Relationship Managers, Relationship Managers, and Associates to boost their technical understanding of liability products and enhance their sales capabilities.
Oversee the monitoring of sales funnels and key performance indicators in coordination with regional leadership to identify performance gaps and recommend effective corrective actions.
Act as the subject matter expert on liability products, equipping the sales team with competitive intelligence and product knowledge necessary to secure high-value deposit mandates.
Serve as the liaison between the Retail Banking Group and the Circle/Regional Management to ensure the smooth onboarding of customers and timely resolution of any operational challenges.
Manage regional staffing needs by addressing headcount gaps, maintaining an active market candidate talent pool, supporting onboarding processes, and facilitating succession planning.
Ensure the functional integrity of the sales process by strictly enforcing KYC, AML, and Fair Treatment of Customers compliance protocols across the team.
Collaborate closely with Regional Heads and General Managers to align sales strategies and achieve organizational goals for deposit mobilization.
Promote a customer-centric approach to sales that focuses on understanding client needs and fostering long-term relationships.
Lead and inspire the team demonstrating resilience, negotiation skills, and effective leadership to navigate competitive market dynamics.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local market trends and regulatory requirements related to retail deposits to inform strategy and operational decisions.
